My Lust Have's

The Shoe That Bites Back

There are so many great shoe trends out there, but nothing beats the ones that have that certain edge that je ne sais quoi… This trend however has more than that – it bites you back, or at least the treads do. In 2013 Stella McCartney came out with amazing platforms with treads that were like shark teeth. Ever since then, they have become more widely available (so that you don’t need $500 to $1200 on a pair!) at stores like StyleNanda, Nasty Gal, and Topshop. So next time you’re looking for an easy and minimalist way to edge up your wardrobe – try this trend out…Aww don’t be shy, they don’t bite!

The easiest way to style this type of shoe is to keep it simple. A simple black and white graphic tee shirt and some cuffed boyfriend jeans will do the trick just nicely. If you’re looking for a more daring look, try with a sleeveless mock neck crop tee (whoa, that’s a mouthful),some cut-off vintage jeans, and an over-sized bomber jacket. The possibilities are endless! What will you come up with?
