I tend to tie my shirt around my waist a lot. This is one of the easiest new trends you can try at home. To avoid looking like ol’ fogey would be to pair with a high-waist pant, jean, or short. Also you can style it like I did, with a dress!

Aimee Song also rocks a denim shirt. It's almost like we are soul sisters. Almost. Image belongs to songofstyle.com

Don’t feel intimidated and defeated when you see a girl walking down the street with it tied at her natural waist and on you it looks crazy. Play around with the placement around your waist. The placement will be different depending on your body’s proportions. Maybe you need to place it lower, higher, even use a different fabric shirt?

The best thing about this trend is you don’t have to go out and buy anything expensive. Most likely you already have something in your closet you can use. Plaids are always a great shirt to use and you can get one at the local thrift store for dirt cheap.

My dress is Marc by Marc Jacobs, jacket is Vince, chambray is Gap (can also been seen styled here) clutch is Target (can also be seen styled here), and shoes are Guess.

Yes! The print and the pockets are what makes this my favorite dress I own. Thank you so much!
